School Uniform

School dress is economical, hard wearing and practical. Parents are asked to dress their children in the prescribed clothing as it makes school important to the children, gives the school an identity and encourages a pride in their school.

All the major items of dress can be purchased from a shop called Badgers of Heskin. 

The school is now offering a Fairtrade uniform choice. All Koolskools school uniform is made with Fairtrade cotton in ethical factories and at affordable prices. Parents can buy online on the following link: https://www.koolskools.co.uk/product-category/mawdesley-st-peters-primary-school/

• Grey skirt or pinafore dress
• Grey trousers or shorts
• Pale blue polo shirt, royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan. (with the school logo on)
• White, dark or grey socks or grey tights (as appropriate)
• During the summer term children may wear blue and white gingham/striped dresses.
• Plain black shoes (not trainers or boots)
• N.B. Training shoes and track suits are fine for casual wear but not suitable for school dress.

P.E. and Games

The children are requested to wear:

• Navy blue shorts and a pale blue T shirt (with the school logo on)
• Trainers
• Navy blue Track suit bottoms may be worn in winter
• You can also buy a royal blue PE hoodie if you wish

On PE days, children are asked to come to school in their PE kits. Class teachers will inform you about the days when PE will take place.

Cloakrooms

In the Infant classes, space in the classrooms is limited, so we ask that pupils use a slim school book bag for their belongings. When children move up to the Juniors, bags are stored in the cloakroom, so they may bring a small rucksack instead.

Wearing of Jewellery

Please note that jewellery is not allowed in school. Children may wear a wrist watch but are responsible for looking after it. The use of  smart watches are not permitted. 

Name Tags

The school PTA  have set up a link with My Nametags. Parents can go to the website https://www.mynametags.com and order name tags, quoting our personalised school ID 26853. For every order made, the PTA will get 24% of the cost of the order donated.
